Hello. I'm Ann Brophy.
I've had art in my soul since the first time I picked up a crayon.
Maybe even before then.

But it took me decades to understand that art begins with a knowledge of the world, its people and experiences, and how all those things interact. Art is very personal and needs to tell a story that is meaningful and resonates with the viewer. That is why I work with clients on their commissioned wool needle felted art to understand the stories, emotions, and memories that their pieces will represent.
No two stories are alike, so each commissioned piece is unique.

Ann's Background
Ann Brophy had a long and successful career as a Physical Therapist and university anatomy instructor where her expertise was recognized through multiple awards and honors. For decades clients benefitted from the passion and creativity she brought to patient care.
While teaching, growing her clinical practice and raising two children, Ann’s lifelong love of art was ever-present. After years of appreciating and creating art in it’s many forms, Ann became a docent at the Milwaukee Art Museum and began advancing her own artistic knowledge and skills.
Now, those skills have translated into the practice of creating small sculptures and “paintings” with wool through the process of needle felting. By combining humor, skill, and connecting with her clients, Ann sculpts people, pets, celebrities, sports and storybook characters, resulting in unique and meaningful art - for yourself, or to share with others.
